By Stephen Battersby ON AN old lake bed among the easternmost hills of Adiri, not far from the deserts of Shangri-la, lies a remarkable artefact. To reach it would take seven years, for the hills are on Titan, an alien moon a billion kilometres from Earth. The artefact is the European Space Agency’s Huygens probe, which on 14 January became the first visitor from Earth to land on Saturn’s biggest moon.
